Company History and
Information

Industrial Kinetics, founded in 1969, is an organization with material handling systems design and manufacturing capabilities, focused on providing not merely conveyor and handling hardware, but solutions to customers’ material handling problems. We began operations from a 3,500 Ft² facility, purchasing approximately 70% of our products and manufacturing the remainder.

In 1974, Industrial Kinetics purchased and relocated to a 14,000 Ft² facility. Improved facilities and an increased staff allows reduced buyouts and increased manufacturing. From 1976 through 1978 Industrial Kinetics was the largest Mathews conveyor distributor in the United States.

In 1978 we built the first phase of our current facility and moved into a 40,000 Ft² building. The move allowed us to secure larger projects and manufacture more of the custom design equipment involved in these larger projects.

Simultaneous to our distributorship with Mathews from 1978 through 1980, we were also a major distributor for Litton. Then as a result of our continued growth and the size of the projects that we were obtaining, our distributor relationships with other manufacturers were being jeopardized by their direct sales efforts.

In 1980, Industrial Kinetics acquired the Olson Conveyor Company from ACCO. The acquisition brought us not only a very well established and complete line of package handling equipment, but also a sophisticated, experienced engineering group and trained fabricators.

To support our projected growth, we have recently completed an expansion to bring our facility up to 90,000 Ft². In today's dollars and at our current product mix, this will allow our growth to increase to approximately $40 MM in sales.

Typically our sales are split about 50/50 between consumer direct sales and the consultant, integrator resale group.

Strengths - Benefits

We are a dynamic, growing company.

Industrial Kinetics builds a full line of package and unit handling conveyors and a wide variety of custom and semi-standard equipment, including transfers, transfer cars, pallet dispensers and special devices.

Our engineering and controls group is as large and as experienced as the staffs of our significantly larger competitors. Additionally, we are continually educating and training our personnel.

We are a flexible, responsive company that rapidly adjusts to changing requirements. We endeavor to provide cost effective solutions that are as unique as the customers we serve.

Our investment in state of the art manufacturing machinery allows us to build high quality equipment at competitive prices.

Industrial Kinetics, with over 30 years of material handling systems experience, approaches projects from a systems perspective.
