Transfer Car Conveyors & Equipment

Belt Conveyors

As a transfer car conveyor manufacturer, Industrial Kinetics is a leader in the development and application of transfer car conveyors & equipment. Transfer cars are used to divert or merge unit loads between multiple lanes. Common applications include delivering loads to workstations, transferring loads from multiple palletizers to a common stretch wrapper, and layer pick operations. The use of transfer car conveyor as compared to conventional conveyor and transfers reduces the amount of equipment required, reducing the initial investment and maintenance costs.

Transfer Car Traversing Decks

IK transfer cars have been manufactured with the following options:

  • Single deck
  • Double deck – two wide or two deep
  • Quad deck – two wide by two deep
  • On board pallet dispenser plus two load positions
  • Parasitic drive for slave driven spurs – available on multiple configurations
  • On board lift to address multiple receiving and delivery levels

IK transfer cars conveying decks can be any viable conveyor type. This commonly includes roller conveyor, belt conveyor, and chain conveyor.

Many workstation applications or gantry palletizing operations can use parasitically driven spurs for the workstation or palletizing conveyor. This eliminates the distributed drives on the workstation conveyor saving the cost of control and wiring which reduces the initial investment, energy costs, and ongoing maintenance costs.
