AMR / AGV Conveyor
Overview
The AMR Case & Tote Conveyor Topper and AMR Lift-Deck System are modular load‑handling attachments designed to interface Automated Mobile Robots (AMRs) with adjacent conveyor and material‑handling infrastructure. These units enable fully automated transfer, staging, accumulation, and transfer of cases and totes using 24VDC motor‑driven roller (MDR) technology or a lift‑deck grate mechanism for lifting loads off stationary conveyors. Designs use 1.9” diameter MDRs with integral controls, 24vdc linear actuators with control package, or 24VDC gearmotors and are available in single, dual side‑by‑side, or quad‑deck configurations.

Why Choose Us
Industrial Kinetics designs follow CEMA best practices for unit‑handling equipment, ensuring mechanical robustness, predictable control behavior, and long service life. Our engineering approach emphasizes modularity, AMR interoperability, and reliable load transfer. With decades of conveyor expertise, our AMR toppers provide the same industrial durability found in fixed IK conveyor systems.
System Integration
These AMR topper modules integrate directly with fixed conveyor systems using 24VDC MDR zone logic similar to standard IK accumulation equipment. For lift‑deck models, the lifting grate enables transfer from stationary conveyors only, eliminating the need for conveyor‑on‑AMR configurations and simplifying controls. Toppers interface with AMR fleet managers and WES/WMS systems to synchronize delivery, loading, and unloading cycles.
What industries typically use these systems:
01
E‑commerce and Fulfillment: Automated case/tote routing between storage, picking, and packing.
02
Manufacturing: Work‑in‑process movement using AMRs with conveyorized hand‑off points.
03
Distribution Centers: Automated transfer between AMRs and merge, sortation, or accumulation conveyors.
04
Food & Beverage / CPG: Tote movement for batching, staging, and replenishment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the AMR topper handle both cases and totes?
Yes. The 1.9” MDR roller surface and optional belted surface support most case and tote footprints.
Does the lift deck include a conveyor?
No. Lift decks are non‑conveyor modules and include a lifting grate to raise loads off stationary conveyor rollers.
Can a single AMR carry more than one conveyor deck?
Yes. Side‑by‑side and quad‑deck configurations are available depending on AMR payload capability.
Are the controls compatible with IK and non‑IK conveyors?
Yes. 24VDC interlock signals are used similarly to IK’s accumulator conveyor designs.
What industries typically use AMR toppers?
E‑commerce fulfillment, distribution centers, manufacturing, and tote‑based workflows.
Can MDR rollers and belts be mixed within the same deck?
Yes, belted MDR is an option when product support requirements dictate.
